Christiann and John chose one of the most popular spots in Richmond, VA to have their engagement photo session… Maymont.
This beautifully landscaped park has so many amazing areas to photograph including the Italian Garden, the Japanese Garden, waterfalls and tree canopies.
With three outfit changes, we started the session in the multi-level Italian Garden. Here the couple playfully walked inside the long pergola lined with classical granite colonnades. Posed on the old, historic stone steps. And gradually made their way to the stepping stones in the Japanese Garden.
What I love about Maymont is that photo sessions work wonderfully in any season. These photos were taken in the fall. Although the bright colors of summer flowers were gone, lovely greens still remained throughout the park. Between the greens and the incredible stone and granite architecture, the natural backdrop was neutral. Christiann and John were free to be as subtle and as bold as they wanted to be in their choice of outfit colors.
