Taking pictures inside your new home, while it is under construction, captures the very first of many memories to be created there.
Kristin and Travis invited me to help them create these memories at their new home in Mechanicsville, VA. Since the roof was already on the wooden frame, I chose to meet them at 1:00 p.m. so that I could capture as much available light as possible inside.
What Kristin didn’t know was that Travis had a surprise proposal planned!
As we neared the end of the session, I suggested that both of them face each other and write a love note to the other on the wooden studs. Kristin wrote a sweet note to Travis while Travis excitedly wrote, “Will you marry me?”
When I had the couple switch sides to read each other’s note, Travis pulled out the ring to surprise Kristin. The ring was a beautiful black moissanite stone.
This was such a sweet photo shoot with the whole family getting to be a part of it. It was extra special seeing and capturing the reaction of their children.
